Avram Goldman to Serve on California MLS Board of Directors
Marin Association of REALTORS® Chooses Pacific Union GMAC President

San Francisco, CA – The Marin Association of REALTORS® (MAR) recently nominated member Avram Goldman, President and CEO of Pacific Union GMAC Real Estate, to serve on the newly created California Multiple Listing Service (MLS) Board of Directors. Goldman’s more than 30 years of experience as a Bay Area real estate executive are a valuable asset to the new board. Pacific Union agent Levi Swift is the current President of MAR.

Goldman is a national director of the National Association of REALTORS® and past president of the Northern California Chapter of FIABCI and the International Real Estate Federation. He holds the professional designation of Certified Real Estate Broker Manager (CRB).

Goldman began his real estate career in 1979 as a sales associate with Valley of California Realty, where he managed the company's Berkeley office it was acquired by Coldwell Banker. In 1998, Goldman served as President and Chief Operating Officer for the San Francisco Bay Area region, the flagship division of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in California. He has been President and CEO of Pacific Union since January 2007.

A strong advocate for Habitat for Humanity, Goldman received the Humanitarian of the Year in 2006 from the San Francisco Habitat for Humanity chapter and was honored with the same award for the Mount Diablo Chapter in 2004. Goldman holds a bachelor's degree in sociology from University of California at Berkeley, graduating Phi Beta Kappa.
