Worldwide ERC® Foundation Honors Jill Silvas with Cris Collie Legacy Award

Sonoma, CA – October 20, 2009 – Veteran Sonoma County Realtor® Jill Silvas, SCRP and Branch Manager of the Pacific Union International Inc. Sonoma office was honored this week as the recipient of the H. Cris Collie Legacy Award, presented by the Worldwide ERC® Foundation for Workforce Mobility.

Worldwide ERC® is the workforce mobility association with offices in Washington, DC; Brussels, Belgium; and Shanghai, China. Its 12,000 members represent employers, service firms and individuals from industries that address workforce mobility related workforce issues. Its Foundation was established in 2004 to focus the association’s charitable giving, scholarship and broader-business research initiatives.

Jill Silvas is only the second recipient of the Cris Collie Legacy Award. She earned the award through a life-long commitment to raising the level of professionalism and knowledge in the real estate, relocation and mobility industries. She has held a range of leadership positions and has shared her expertise generously in her work, and also by  supporting a range of community and industry causes and events.

Former Worldwide ERC® CEO Cris Collie’s retirement after a 36-year tenure in 2008 brought deep recognition and appreciation of his personal and professional impact on the workforce mobility industry. To pay tribute to Cris’ legacy of excellence, an award was created in his name by the Worldwide ERC® Foundation for Workforce Mobility.

Foundation Chairman Kevin E. Rich, SCRP, New World Van Lines, Inc. delivered the H. Cris Collie Legacy Award to Silvas, noting that “this individual has given countless hours of her time to make our industry better, and her graciousness extends far beyond our circle and into her community. She has earned our respect and love with her unwavering commitment to enhancing the business and personal relationships in her life.”

In accepting the award, Silvas said, “Because I had the great pleasure of working with Cris for so many years and witnessing first hand his qualities of leadership, integrity, partnering, consensus building, diplomacy and his consistent willingness to go the extra mile, it humbles me to be compared to him in any way. I have always felt that for all of the commitment and participation that I have given over the years – to Worldwide ERC® or any of the other organizations that I have participated in – I have gotten back far more than I ever gave. I am truly honored and will always treasure this moment.”
